I must say, my hope is a bit renewed for the series, partially because they might finally have the female characters not look strange. As far as your deviation goes, I like it quite a bit.
The Lines are clean, and the lighting is great. The background is also very nice as well, and the detail on her clothing is very pleasing. It's great to see someone that cares about those things.
I have only one grievance with this, and it lies with her chin. To me, it looks just a little... odd. Maybe it is due to it being a little pointy. But, regardless, it is really the only discrepancy on display. Bravo!
Now, for your Devious Rating!
Vision: This is a drawing of the new female trainer from the upcoming Pokemon X & Y versions. Not a terribly original concept, but it is pulled off rather nicely.
Originality: As a fan-art, it seems fairly standard. But that is not a bad thing at all, especially since it is done rather well. ^_^
Technique: I, unfortunately, had to dock you a small bit due to her chin. The rest, including those great leaves, is top-notch. Stellar work.
Impact: I am actually quite happy to see that the new female lead doesn't look entirely like she fell into a closet, and then climbed out again. Awesome job showing us what they will look like! ^_^
